Shooting with @seanbrown117 on old WWII concrete ships in Newport, OR. They were sunk after WWII to create a shipping terminal. In 1996 one of the boats began to crack, leaking oil into the bay. The leak was fixed, but the quality of the ships was brought into question. Two years ago they started working on removing one of the ships and repairing the other one.
The site seemed like a cross between an archeological dig and a construction site. One of the site managers we interviewed mentioned that they had no idea what they would dig up next. They discovered that the entire engine room was intact and there were other storage areas that still had items from WWII. Overall a very cool site to shoot.
